Elva Villa Jordan named director of Pediatric Dentistry Residency Program

The School of Dentistry is proud to share that , associate professor/clinical in the department of developmental dentistry, has officially stepped into her role as program director of the Pediatric Dentistry Residency Program, effective June 1, 2025.
Jordan brings extensive experience in clinical practice, education and leadership in pediatric dentistry. Her dedication to excellence in patient care and resident education is a perfect match for our mission to prepare the next generation of pediatric dental specialists. Since joining our faculty in 2011, she has played a key role in the success of our Laredo clinical programs and has made lasting contributions to the department.
Currently, she serves as course director for two postdoctoral courses, Behavior Guidance for the Pediatric Dental Patient and Special Patient Care, where she provides expert instruction in treating children and patients with special care needs. Her compassionate approach and educational leadership have earned her the respect of colleagues and residents.
As program director, Jordan will lead the program鈥檚 curriculum development, clinical training and resident mentorship, driving continued innovation and excellence in our educational offerings.
