- In a new paper, researchers from 黑料网 report brain chemistry that may contribute to why drinkers have difficulty paying attention while under the influence. The work is funded by generous support from the Robert J. Kleberg, Jr. and Helen C. Kleberg Foundation and by grants from the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism and the National Institute of Mental Health. Findings were published Dec. 2 in Nature Communications.

- Mary Lucas lives on San Antonio鈥檚 Northeast Side with her 8-year-old son, Mychael Gordon. Both have asthma, requiring them to have ready access to an inhaler and nebulizer. Making matters worse, the neighbors in their apartment complex smoke. 鈥淲e have it coming in from all sides,鈥 Mary said. 鈥淚f somebody starts smoking in one of the other apartments behind us, it comes through our vents. We don鈥檛 smoke, but if you walk into our bathroom, it smells like smoke. Our closet smells like smoke.鈥
